Askinosie has these cool and unique packagings for their chocolate. I wonder how they taste like. They’re supposed to be smooth, buttery and not overly sweet. I think I’ll probably like their chocolate, as I don’t prefer chocolate that’s overly sweet. Wanna know more about Askinosie Chocolate? Check out their website! They have a cool website which talks about their story, interesting stuffs, and you can even order their chocolate online.

I went to KRAZY yesterday. KRAZY is a big summer show in Vancouver which brings contemporary art together with comics, graphic novels, manga, computer/video games, animated cartoons and anime. There were only a few things I was kind of familiar with, and the rest were pretty new to me. It is definitely a good opportunity to bring outsiders into the world of comics. It’s a good show and well worth your time.

Found some interesting illustrations by Chris Ware in the exhibition. He created a fantastic series of four different covers and an online comic for The New Yorker Magazine in 2006.

I’m always into package design in Japan. The designs always reflect the time that was taken into consideration of the visual appeal and retail marketing. I got this nicely packed Kobe chocolate from MT. It doesn’t taste very sweet and it has a rich chocolate taste. Try it out if you can!

It’s always different to cook with others than to cook by yourself, because you can get assist and chat while your cooking. It’s more fun and it’d also take shorter time to finish. Gwynnie and I felt like having pasta for Sunday brunch, so we looked up for a lasagna recipe online, followed the directions and made this 3-layers lasagna. It’s actually our first time making it and it’s a lot easier than we thought. It tasted not bad but I think the plate was missing a couple slices of lemon and some herbs (for decorating purpose).

There’s no beef in it. :}

Everyone knows I’ve been incredibly busy with my work, and now I’m trying to free out some time to do what I’ve always wanted to do. It is to learn how to cook. Who would be the lucky person to try my second dish? Of course it would be my loving grandpa. I made this Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce & Parmesan Cheese for his lunch yesterday. I’m very glad that he liked my dish. woohoo~
