Chatting with friend(s) in a good atmosphere while sipping a cup of coffee and having a piece of lovely cake will always make your day.

Had a craving for tonkatsu so went to Butagumi Tonkatsu.. made a reservation for a table.. didn’t have to line up or wait.. but I ended up ordering the shrimp katsu. It’s served with shredded cabbage, rice and miso soup. Walked away with a full stomach. Happy with the dish, decent service and clean environment. It’s highly recommended.

Café Salade De Fruits - A little French Cafe at Le Centre (a place where takes culture to heart). The food is well-prepared. Great food for great value and they have friendly service. It’s highly recommended but you need to have knowledge of French to read the menu.

Went to a Japanese grocery store the other day and picked up these Coca-Cola in aluminum bottles that are designed similar to the glass Coca-Cola bottles. Thought they’re pretty cool.

People who know me probably know that I like KitKat. So when people visit Japan, they always like to get me new or limited edition KitKats. I don’t know why I like it too. Maybe it’s because it always has new surprising flavours and nice graphic designs on the packages. This time I got the Muscat of Alexandria (wine grapes) and Caramel Macchiato McFlurry flavour. Thx! :}

Didn’t have any idea for my potluck dish, so I went online and searched for So Good‘s cooking show. Found something really easy to make and not time consuming, which is the deep fried shrimp spring rolls. I ended up making it and people actually liked it.
Happy New Year!

December is always a great month. First, there is my favourite uncle’s birthday and then Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, mom’s birthday and New Year’s Eve.
This chocolate truffle cake for my mom was pretty good and sweet but the writing on the cake was pretty bad. It’s not artistic at all. @@

Portobello+
A Little Tea House in Soho Hong Kong – It’s a nice cozy place for afternoon tea, and it’s designed like a classic english tea house. It’s recommended to those who want to relax and enjoy fine tea and a slice of something special.

Seem like summer in HK hasn’t ended yet. Went for a walk along the harbourside in the morning and the sweat dripped down my back. Then drank this refreshing soda. Loves it! Love the design as well.. very kawaii and Japanese.
